Grade Level/Discipline: 8th Grade Reading and Language Arts & Honors English I
Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: I love to read! I am part of our 8th Grade Book Club at school and I enjoy reading and discussing the books my kids are into. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is my favorite YA book.
Fact 2: The Food Network is constantly on my TV. I try to be a foodie, but sometimes my dishes don't work out...
Fact 3: I just ran my first half-marathon in April. I (just) finished in 3 hours, but that was my goal. On to the next race, which is Warrior Dash in October.
Fact 4: I am very excited about visiting DisneyLand (or DisneyWorld, I can never remember) in Orlando this December.
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course:
I would like to be able to integrate more technology (not PowerPoint!) into my lessons, both for my presentations and for the students' projects.
My favorite game(s):
The Wii Game Just Dance. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
